Getting Calcium and boiling v cold water
Hi, a couple of questions!
I'm on FID elimination but need lots of calcium due to being osteopenic. Calcium supplemented oat and rice milks have other additives in which don't agree with my skin. I already take a prescribed calcium supplement and I'll be starting skin friendly AM in about a week. But, based on the gluten free FID shopping list, what food can I really ig up on to get more calcium intake?
Also, is filtered boiling water exactly the same as filtered cold water, or does it dry the skin from the inside? I never feel as hydrated when I drink hot water.
Any nutritional advice and suggestions really appreciated.

Hi Rowenna,
Sardines are low in mercury but are very high in amines so not part of the eczema diet. If you are not sensitive to amines they can be incorporated into your diet :)
Yes if you are taking Skin Friend PM and your current supplement that would exceed the recommended dosage of 1000 mg/day for a female adult. We do recommend Skin Friend PM as the added magnesium helps to increase the absorption of calcium.
In regards to boiling water, I have done some research and cannot find anything to support this but it's an interesting point! If you feel it dries out your skin it would be best to avoid it.
