Skinfriend AM Side Effects?

I started taking Skinfriend AM about 3-4 weeks ago, gradually increasing the dose each morning, and for the last 1-2 weeks I've been on a 3g dose. Lately, I've been experiencing more frequent heartburn and severe bloating accompanied by nausea.

I've been sprinkling the 3g over my breakfast (warm rice porridge) and, in the last few days, splitting the dose into two 1.5g doses, one in the morning and one at midday, but the symptoms haven't improved.

I suspect I'm reacting to glycine, as I tested glycine on its own some time ago and had a similar reaction. What can I do now, or how can I still provide my body with the essential nutrients?

In Kszycka's 2017 study, brown rice is classified as having a high salicylate content.

Dear Support Team,

Are you aware that brown rice can cause a severe salicylate intolerance?

In Kszycka's 2017 study, brown rice is classified as having a high salicylate content.

I had previously used white rice, but switched to brown rice due to Candida and now eat it almost three times a day. I've noticed a severe burning sensation in my mouth and itching all over my body.

Could it be that I'm also allergic to the rice bran oil, which I've been using as well?

You said here "Foods can shift between “low,” “medium,” or “high” classifications depending on the portion amount assessed". That's probably why basil and ginger which are high in salicylates are on the eczema diet shopping list.

Leek green vs. white part regarding salicylate tolerance

Dear Support Team, is there a difference in how well the white part of the leek is tolerated compared to the green/dark green part?

I've only been using the dark green part for the past couple of days, as it's lower in FODMAPs.

When it comes to lettuce, I have read that you shouldn't eat the outside leaves. Why is that? On a low SAM diet would it be suitable to eat  the outer leaves after cooking?
