Lotions and body oils

We just started this program yesterday. My 3-year-old has terrible eczema. We are going to go to the most restrictive route and hope to isolate some things that he is reactive to. He also seems to be very reactive to outside. Every time we come back inside. We do a quick rinse of his arms and his legs and that seems to help. But immediately afterwards we need to put an oil or lotion on him. My question is how do I know the difference between the foods he is eating and the oils and lotions I'm putting on him. I was hoping there would be some mention of external skin care or types of lotions/oils that would be preferable for him on a daily basis. He is always so itchy that it is really hard to tell if the lotions and oils are affecting him in a positive or negative way. There are definitely some that seem to make it worse, but I don't know if there is a better option. Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. We currently use sea-buckthorn oil, argon oil (We quit using that one because it might be reactive?), and rose hip oil. And the lotion we use has several additives in it. What should I look for to include and/or avoid?

@Bonnie (Nutritionist, Admin) Hi Bonnie. We are a few more days in now and things are starting to settle. We are sticking to the FID gluten free diet and the flares, rashes, scaly skin, and extreme itchiness are starting to calm a little. I think the previous explosions may have been due in part to us coming of the steroid cream and Zyrtec. We have kept him inside in the air conditioning, which has helped. We are also wrapping his arms and legs again at night to help with the raw skin from scratches. We are 1 day away from starting the anime portion and hopefully this will not set us back. His skin is not clear, but it's not as "angry". We are waiting on some am/pm supplements to arrive and I'm hoping that will also help some! Also, I think the flax oil is helping.
