Lifestyle Factors and Eczema: What Have You Noticed?
Hi everyone!
I wanted to open up a discussion about the lifestyle factors that can impact our eczema beyond diet. We often focus on what we eat, but I think it’s equally important to consider things like sleep, exercise, and hydration.
Sleep: I’ve noticed that when I don’t get enough rest, my skin tends to flare more. Has anyone else experienced this? What are your strategies for improving sleep quality?
Exercise: I find that regular exercise helps reduce stress and keeps my skin feeling better overall. But I know some people have reactions to sweat. What types of exercise have worked for you, and how do you manage sweat-related flare-ups?
Hydration: Staying hydrated is crucial, but I sometimes forget to drink enough water. Have you noticed a difference in your skin when you're well-hydrated versus when you're not?
I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you have for managing these factors in relation to your eczema journey.

My lifestyle factors are:
Exercise that makes the heart beat faster - seems to regulate what’s going on under the skin.
Doing HITT exercise before bed really makes me sleep better.
Go to bed early, as often as I can.
Avoid dry heat where possible - I like a damp climate to keep the skin easier.
Sip a lot of boiling water - it keeps me off the coffee or tea.
I find these really help me. Look forward to hearing anyone else’s tips.
Rowenna 🙂
