Limes / Lemons

I’ve been on FID for 6 weeks and started my amines testing week this week which is so far going well. I’m really missing some tartness in my foods, so can I test lime or lemon in my salicylates test week? I see lime has no amines and only moderate salicylates so hopefully can just add into next week?


Oh and thank you , my skin is finally starting to look better after years of angry red skin 👍

Absolutely! Once you're ready to test sals, start with a bit of lemon in water and see how you go. If you're craving tangy flavors, citric or ascorbic acid is FID-friendly and can add a delightful zest to your meals. It's especially good in our Sticky Garlic Chicken recipe.
