Long Term Healing/Mold
Hi lovely people,
I had some posts here in the “ask Karen” section but they appear to be gone. I’ve been doing the Eczema detox for 1.5 years now. I started with the Diet, then the Detox, then FID, then back to the Detox, and now I’m doing a mishmash of the programs, due to the high number of reactive foods (eggs, gluten, dairy, possibly soy, many random vegetables, grains, fruits, some nuts, etc.). I did allergy testing, MRT testing, and most recently mold testing. My digestion was good the first year, and has progressively deteriorated since then, which I attributed to stress. I had terrible warts on my hands after 4 months. Luckily (fingers crossed), that has just cleared up after about a year. And, the eczema in my ears (which was the initial symptom) rarely flares up anymore. But, recently my urine showed multiple different types of mold. My ND prescribed dandelion tea, calcium glutamate, and GI Detox (which is multiple binders). I am also taking skin friend AM and PM, as well as Vitamin D. I still have rashes after I shower, scaly skin on my heels, and chronic pain in my body/joints (which is the most concerning). I have done every medical test possible for this. My digestion has improved dramatically in the week since I started the new mold supplements. I’m also looking to move to be away from the mold. So, my post is for multiple reasons. I wanted to share my small successes, and I also wanted to get expert opinion on Calcium glucarate and toxin binders (GI Detox).
Thank you in advance.
Paula

Hi Paula, thanks so much for the updates on your successes, this is so great to know.
I am glad to hear you have found your digestion improving! When using mould supplements and binders it can sometimes take a little time for improvements to be seen (if mould is part of the reason for your symptoms), but being able to move out of your place will be so helpful as this is always a big step in working to recover from mould illness.
What specifically would you like us to comment on in reference to the GI detox and calcium D glucorate? were you wondering if they are suitable when following a low food chemical diet? What brand are you using for the GI detox?
The skin friend AM and PM will be a lovely addition to your mould detox also so keep going with these. They will help support your immune system, detoxification channels, and nutrients like molybdenum (found in the skin friend AM) can be really important when tackling mould illness and supporting detoxification.
Binders can sometimes cause constipation so keeping up high fibre foods and filtered water on the eczema programs can be helpful to keep things moving, such as flaxseeds, beans, Brussels, apples and pears ( I am unsure of what foods you tolerate on this diet, but these are just examples).
Let me know what you would like to know about the mould binders, and we can continue the conversation. :)
