Herbal supplements
My naturopathic doctor has prescribed two herbal supplements to help lower histamine and improve eczema.
They are:
1) Ribes Nigrum Bourgeons which contain black currant buds
2) Rosmarinus officinalis jeunes pousses which contain rosemary young shoots
Do you have any concerns about these supplements?

Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your post. Herbal supplements do contain high levels of salicylates and are not suitable on the Eczema Diet and FID programs.
While it's perfectly okay if you want to try these supplements, it's generally advisable to introduce one therapy at a time. This approach helps in accurately assessing the effects of each treatment. If you decide to incorporate these supplements while also following the eczema diet or FID, it might become challenging to discern which intervention is helping your skin so I do recommend testing both the diet and these supplements seperately.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
