Organic chicken Liver

I love offal. I noticed in the Foodfinder that liver isn't actually high in amines, just better to avoid due to other chemicals and because its a sort of processing/filtering organ.


However, do you think its something I could introduce in moderation if organic, to add variety to my diet?


Are there other negatives about liver I should be aware of regarding skin?

Hi Rowenna, good question. Yes, organic liver would be a highly nutritious addition to your diet… It’s high in vitamin A which is fantastic (but one exception is that liver is possibly unsuitable for pregnant women as they should limit vit A). Fine for everyone else, once a week. Enjoy!
