Do you drink Coconut Water?
Hi everyone, since coconut oil is in highly drying to the skin. Has any eczema sufferers tried Coconut water? It's truly beneficial for those without skin problems, but what about for you personally?
If Bonnie/Karen or other skin friend team members can chime in and give the science as to why coconut water isnt good for eczema sufferers that would be greatly appreciated! My son Joseph recently flared up drinking alot of it so back to detoxđ

Hello Mamamiles28,
I recommend that you post your reply on this post as a new post. I always recommend to follow the most recent book. Not all books are only for eczema. So to make it yourself easier follow the eczema detox. If it is difficult to keep to the FID program, I recommend to start with the eczema diet. You can always limit your eczema diet to the FID program. Follow your intuition in what suits you better. The program is a fantastic help for me, also for you. Take your time and don't think it will be quick that you see results. For everyone is it a different traject. The books are all helpful, but start with one book. You can always expand later to more books. Have some recipes that you like for each meal and snacks you like. I have tried all the recipes before I started the diet as I found it easier to keep to a diet that I know I will like the recipe. There is a list of allowed foods and you can make easy meal plans with those ingredients. I found that my eczema healed quicker on a gluten free and milk free diet and I stick to organic chicken most of the days. The longer you follow a diet the easier it will become to make your own recipe ideas with the allowed ingredients. I personally use Himalayan rock salt. On the list it says you can use Iodised sea salt, Himalayan Rock salt, Celtic sea salt. All without anti-caking agent and no table salt. But will all things is follow your intuition. I recommend to follow the eczema detox book. Once you get the knowledge that Karen Fischer is giving you, you can look in other books. Print out the eczema diet shopping list for your country or continent and stick to it. On this list are more ingredients that are mentioned in the book and this will make it easier to make recipes.
Give yourself 2-3 weeks to try out the recipes in the eczema detox book and see what you like. Everyone has struggles. Write down what you might find difficult and find good alternatives and have those in house so you can grab them and not the things you should not eat or drink.
For example if you still use milk products, you need alternatives for that. For example it took me a while to replace my tea with condensed milk for a suitable alternative. I drink now rooibos tea with maple syrup, filtered water, oat milk chai, pear juice. For breakfast I make a smoothie with banana, maple syrup and oat milk and I add the AM supplement. Or I make gluten free oat porridge with maple syrup and top it with pear or banana or blueberries. My other struggle was bread. I make now the leek and oat flatbread on page 156 of The healthy skin diet. For lunch or dinner I make white potato or white long grain rice, with vegetables (Brussel sprouts, leek, red cabbage) and organic chicken boiled or baked in rice bran oil. But for everyone it is different look for alternatives for your normal go to meals before you start the diet. Just try it out for 2-3 weeks and then you stick to the diet till your eczema is gone. Don't start to quickly with new foods and when you do stick to 1 new ingredient for you start with another. Don't go to quick. Take your time. It will heal. Buy also the cream that Karen Fischer made and the supplements AM and PM. Stick to her diet and don't let others influence you. Her diet is perfect. Stick to it. Last thing make a separate post and good luck. You can do it, Mamamiles28!
