Medication
Hi Karen. I have to take medication for mental health issues. I take 30mg Citalopram a day (which I have taken for 17 years) , plus 30-40mg of quitiapine (seroquel) (4 years) 1x daily and 45mg of Buspar (Buspirone) (which I have been taking for 7 weeks). As I have made clear previously, my eczema issues predate when I started to take these medications. My eczema started to get worse though about 3 years ago.
I was taking a drug called pregabalin (150mg a day) for 3 years which I dont think was helping my skin so I stopped taking it. However there has been no noticeable improvement since I stopped taking it. Both my dermatologist and my psychiatrist do not think that these medications should have any adverse effect on my skin.
Just by way of reminder, I have been doing FID since early January and have seen real improvement in the dry skin issues I was having on my face (90% improved). My dry skin/flaking on my scalp has improved by 50-60%. After 6 weeks on FID my hands were 90% clear although they have slipped back a bit recently since I started testing and I would say are now around 60% better than in December The eczema on my right ankle is 60% better (see photos below). I did use a protopic for about 10 days on the left ankle but I dont think it made too much difference as my ankle was already improving. My left ankle is a bit problematic as it got severely inflamed but has improved with the use of a steroid and protopic (which I stopped using a week ago - although the eczema has come back slightly)
I am a bit anxious about this issue (which doesnt help!!!) as I do need to take these meds. I would imagine though that you have dealt with many people who have to take such meds in the past for mental health and of course medications for other conditions who have done well on the diet?
Appreciate your view.

Hi Mark, the zinc balm is different. Send your details to my team at support@skinfriend.com and they will send it next week or so.
