Prenatal Vitamins

Hello there :) I'm wondering which prenatal vitamins you recommend for those with eczema? I have done the FID diet which revealed that I'm sensitive to amines but seem to tolerate salicylates well.

I'm also curious if there any things to be wary of in the pregnancy/postpartum journey that might cause an eczema flare-up?

Thank you so much!

Supplements

I’m reading The Ezcema Diet book now. For the supplement side of things. is it sufficient to take the am and pm Supplements that Karen sells or do I need more specific ones?

also because the diet is for my 11mo breastfeeding baby. Can I just take the supplements or does he need to?

Hi Trudy, thanks for your question. During breast feeding, your body has increased nutritional requirements in order to nourish both your baby and yourself. Calcium, zinc, magnesium, vitamin C and a range of B vitamins are especially important during this time so yes Skin Friend AM and PM are sufficient.

It is important to check that you are not taking any prescription medications that might prevent you from taking supplements (i.e. medications such as blood thinning/heart medications). It is also important to check ant other supplements you are to ensure you are not doubling up on vitamins and minerals.

If you are breast feeding we suggest checking with your doctor to see if you can take multi-vitamin/mineral supplements while breast feeding and/or on your medications. With your doctor's okay, it would be fine to take the Skin Friend supplements.

Bubs can take Skin Friend from 12 months old so we recommend waiting until then.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions.
