Ready for Testing?

Hi I have been on FID now for 4 and a half months. Overall my skin has improved 70%. I havent done much testing yet. Whilst on FID I developed anxiety and depression which is linked to my eczema. I found it difficult to accept that I was dealing with eczema and it was driving my anxiety. The mental issues only developed in January, I had been dealing with bad eczema for 18 months before (and have previously had it in one shape or form all my life). I think I just reached a tipping point with it. Hopefully the mental issues will subside somewhat as I am taking new medication which appears to be slowly helping me. This brings me to my next challenge which is testing. Whilst on FID I have tested for potatoes and oats and have had adverse reactions to both. I am kind of a bit scared to test as it does get me down when I get a reaction so was wondering if I should wait until I have levelled out a bit mentally? Also I wanted to know if it is okay for me to use a protopic to clear any reaction I get? When I reacted to potatoes my hands took a long time to clear, when I reacted to Oats a few weeks ago, I decided to use a protopic and my hands cleared quickly. In some ways I am really keen to start testing as I do want to eat a more varied diet after over 4 months on FID but am a bit nervous. Any thoughts/guidance much appreciated! Thanks, Mark

Hi Bonnie - I think I will test some of the orange coloured foods such as carrots and sweet potato - I have really missed them and I hope that I dont react to them!!
